Meanwhile, the appliance delivery at the house did not go smoothly. Two men wrapped a strap around themselves, under the fridge, to carry it in. I don't think I've seen this done before, but it was fairly impressive. But as they set up the fridge, I learned they had brought the wrong model. (After over two hours on the phone, Craig arranged for a swap of the fridge for the right one, but that won't take place until Monday.) And when they looked in the second story laundry room, I was told they couldn't install our washer and dryer. So they left them in the garage:

Kai and I went over to the old house to help finish loading the truck. After a very convoluted series of donations, taking some of Justin's things out of storage, and putting other things into storage, we paused for lunch at about two in the afternoon. Courtney was just getting home from school, so she picked up Kai for a much needed nap. She had to swing by the old house to pick up Kai's sheets from the dryer (Kai managed to wet the bed through her diaper on her first night in the new house). I followed Craig to Justin's apartment, then turned around to pick up Bryce from school.
We stopped at the house so Bryce could pick up his driver's licence and a snack. After several wrong turns, we made our way back to Justin's apartment. Bryce was planning to drop me off and take my car home, but I think the series of u-turns I made getting to Justin's scared him off driving home alone. Instead, he stayed to help us carry Justin's things in, which was wonderful because Justin's room is on the second floor.
We finished the day by driving back to the house and loading one last piece of furniture into the truck. Craig and I took that piece to Goodwill, returned the truck, and came home. The move is done and barely begun at the same time!
That was the second of two very, very long days...
