I decided to make the move from Kansas to California by shipping my belongings in a container and driving my car. Craig flew out (on his birthday!) to join me in the drive to California. Or as he said at the time, he came to "take me home".
I had great help from family and friends packing. Thank you all! I couldn't have done it alone. You can see how everything fit nicely in the container.

We drove for three days. I had expected that we would take turns driving, but Craig drove the entire time. Here we are in front of his house:
I even had mail when I got there!
